Form groups of 2. Each group of two will spend 40 minutes defining all of the following pedagogical approaches:

• Directed Instruction
• Collaborative Groups
• Constructivism
• Anchored Instruction
• Problem Based Learning
• Engaged Learning

Post your definitions (20 to 50 words each) on the Message Board (http://my.nl.edu then "My Courses" then ITAC) under "Pedagogical Approaches."

In the same message in which all six approaches are defined, rank the six approaches in terms of which ones you'd be most interested in researching in more detail and delivering a presentation to the class.

The instructor will use the rankings to assign each group one or two approaches.
